Regulations:

Open Season Zones 8 & 10: Open all year
Limit – Sport License: 6 in one day not more than 2 greater than 61 cm (24″) of which not more than 1 is greater than 86 cm (33.9″)
Size Restrictions – Sport License: Only 2 longer than 24 inches and only one longer than 34 inches.
Limit – Conservation License: 2 in one day not more than 1 greater than 61 cm (24″) none greater than 86 cm (33.9″)

Tackle Suggestions:

Rod: Medium fresh water action.
Line: 8 to 12 pound test.
Lures: Big Minnows, Leaches, DareDevils, Muskie Killers, spinner baits, pike flies, shallow rattle baits, Spooks and other top water baits.
Colors: Red & White, Yellow five-of-diamonds, Fire Tiger, plain white, Black & White.
Leaders: Black steal 30 pound test.

Open Season Zone 8: Jan. 1 to April 14 & 3rd Sat. May to Dec. 31
Open Season Zone 10: Jan. 1 to Mar. 31 & 3rd Sat. May to Dec. 31
Size Restrictions: Only one greater then 46 cm (18.1 inches)
Limit – Sport License: 4 in one day not more than one greater than 46 cm (18.1″)
Limit – Conservation License: 2 in one day not more than one greater than 46 cm (18.1″)

Tackle Suggestions:

Rod: Ultra-light to light action.
Line: 4 to 8 pound test.
Lures: Minnows, Leaches, 1/8 to 1/4 oz jig heads, twister tails, Rapalas, Thundersticks & Wally Divers
Colors: Fire Tiger, white, yellow, black, worm colour, copper, silver
Leaders: It’s best not to use leaders unless you are in an area with lots of Pike.

Limit – Conservation License: 2 in one day any combination of the two

Tackle Suggestions:

Rod: Ultra-light to light action
Line: 6 to 8 pound test.
Lures: Worms, minnows, leaches, crayfish, Hula Poppers, Jitter Bugs, rubber worm, Wally Divers, Flatfish, Tube Jigs
Colors: Natural worm or crayfish color, neon pink or neon green, dark green & white.
Leaders: Try not to use steel leaders unless there are a lot of Pike around.

Line: 6 pound test.
Lures: Cleos, Mepps Spinner, Blue Fox Spinners, Williams Wabblers, Panther Martins, Rapalas
Colors: Fire Tiger, blue & silver, green and silver, Blue & Black, all silver
Special Equipment: 3-way swivel, 1 or 2 oz weight, clip swivels
